These are the most expensive dog breeds in the UK in 2022

The UK’s most expensive dog breeds have been revealed, and some of the most expensive will set you back thousands of pounds. The average price of a dog has fallen over the past year, according to a study by experts from Pets4Homes.

Figures show the average price of a dog on Pets4Homes in March 2022 was £1,382.41. That’s less than the same month last year, when the average price was £2,080.79. Some popular breeds have also seen a massive drop in their average price over the past year.

The breed that has seen the biggest drop in price is the border collie, which in March 2022 had an average price of £616, down 49% from the same time last year. Only two breeds – the American bully and the cane corso – saw no change in their price.
