If you want to see two classic English bands here in North America for the price of one, there are some great shows coming up in September. The Pet Shop Boys and rock band New Order are touring the US and Canada with a touring DJ Paul Oakenfield.
The Pet Shop Boys have been nominated for six Grammies and were even named Britain’s most successful musical duo in 1999. Guinness Book of World Records. Their last album, Hotspotreleased in 2020 and was the pop duo’s fourteenth album.
New Order is the band that spun off from Joy Division, which disbanded after frontman Ian Curtis committed suicide. They built their own highly respected musical legacy after a few years in the shadow of Joy Division. This co-headlining tour was scheduled to take place in 2020, but was significantly delayed like many live events due to the Covid-19 pandemic. You can buy tickets here.
