Man with court order picks up his car: Gates Mills Police Blotter

General Support: Chagrin River Road

A Shaker Heights man showed up at the police station on September 16 with a court order that his wife must return a vehicle to him within 24 hours.

Officers contacted the resident and informed her of the situation with her ex-husband. She said she was in Chicago with the car and unable to return it.

She was told she had to make arrangements to return the car as soon as possible, as per the court order, or she could be charged.

Trespass: Cedar Road

A group of youngsters jumped a fence at the Gilmour Academy training grounds on September 12. They were going to use the land, but were turned away by responding officers.

Any discipline had to be handled by Gilmour staff.

Disturbance: Chagrin River Road

A resident of the 900 block reported on September 15 that a neighbor’s dog continually came onto her property. An officer spoke to the neighbor and informed him of the dog ordinance.

Traffic complaints: Mayfield Road

A cyclist was said to weave in and out of traffic on September 15. Officers located him and found he had an active traffic warrant out of Brunswick.

This agency was unable to pick him up, so officers offered him a courtesy ride through Geauga County at his request.
