Koraput: The Border Security Force (BSF) held a dog show on Thursday as part of an armed forces motivation and awareness program at St Xavier’s High School in Jeypore district.
As part of the campaign under ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’, a team of 10 dogs of different breeds including Belgian Shepherd, German Shepherd and Labrador Retriever moved from Koraput BSF Camp in Jeypore with their trainers to show off their skills.
“The aim of the show is to make students understand the BSF’s dedication to national security and how they train dogs to work with security forces to secure the lives of citizens,” Commander Sajjan Singh Panwar said in a lecture delivered. occasionally.
The Belgian Shepherd, German Shepherd and Labrador Retriever team showcased their abilities in agility, assault, obedience drills, scent discrimination, explosive and narcotics detection, ring jumping and tracking, as well as guard and attack.
The fascinating spectacle of the BSF canine guards won the appreciation of the students of the school. These aggressive and versatile dogs assist the BSF in all special operations.
They are trained by the National Training Center for Dogs (NTCD) in Tekanpur in Madhya Pradesh.
