Echuca & District Kennel Club will host a conformation dog show at Koyuga Hall and Recreation Reserve on Saturday and Sunday, with more than 500 dogs and approximately 110 breeds in attendance.

The shows – which will judge purebred dogs by their breed standards for size, color and other measurements – will allow canine entrants from three months of age with no age limit.

The 578 dogs on show this weekend will be purebreds verified by the Australian National Kennel Club (ANKC), with rare breeds such as a Mexican hairless dog making an appearance.

There is also a Junior Handling Exhibition as part of the event, encouraging youngsters to get involved in the sport.

The event is open to the public with COVID-19 compliance in place, QR code check-ins and double vaccination required for entry.

There will be full catering on the day, as well as a coffee van and vendors selling products such as leashes, bowls, dog treats and more.

The show will take place at Koyuga Hall and Recreation Reserve starting at 8 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday, with the dogs presented in alphabetical order of breed.
